Baby Awesomeness

**Feel free to skip down to Zachy's awesomeness if you don't want to read all my yacking**

So if you have not already guessed it - my babies are my world, so any milestones/accomplishments they reach I just want to scream it to the world...and what better way to pretend the world 'hears' then writing a post on my totally awesome and totally cool blog!

Anyways, Braden gets a lot of posts dedicated to him because of preschool, but today I want to brag about my Zachy a little bit.

Baby playing outside in the snow today

A little bit on the baby (who is really 2)...he has a super laid back personality and just goes with the flow, however this has caused him to be a little bit behind - call it slow or moving at his own pace or whatever you wish...he just progresses and does things in his own time.  Anyways, he is in therapy twice a week to work on his speech and sensory needs.  In therapy we work on sign language, and making sounds etc. as well as learning to tend to his different sensory needs.

On a less than awesome note, we found out at the dentist today that he is permanently missing not 1, but possibly both, of his upper lateral incisors.  He is definitely missing his left baby upper lateral incisor (which means an adult tooth will never form there).  The right one is "malformed", so it's unclear what this might mean for his adult tooth.  Apparently this is fairly common and there are ways to "fix" it (ultimately with him getting implants)...poor kid can't seem to catch a break!

Getting his bib on at the dentist

**NOW, starting the awesomeness**

1) Last night he pee-peed in his potty! (no photos, sorry).  This was about the 5th time it happened in the last couple weeks.  We are not trying to potty train yet (you try potty training a kid that does not talk) but if he shows interest in going we rush him over and take his dipey off.

2) The boys were at the table eating pizza while Paul and I were on the couch watching the news.  Zach just walked over and patted Paul on the shoulder, we both look at him and ask him what's going on...and like it was no big deal he says (aka signs) "more to eat please".  PROUD MAMA MOMENT! We have been working countless hours in therapy and at home to get him to communicate to us without having to prompt him.  He uses those 3 signs quite a bit in day to day things, with some coaching and asking him questions about what he wants/needs (i.e. asking things like 'if he needs more of something', 'if he is hungry', or asking 'how do you ask' etc.), and never 3 signs in a row!!!

Well bragging over, but I just love this little bugger so much! Don't tell Paul but I totally think he is, and will always be a "Mama's Boy"....well at least way more than B ever will be ;)
